What IS Full Range of Motion in Your Natural Bodybuilding Workout. So many people ask me why I perform short ranges of motion, and when I tell them that I’m performing full range of motion, they give me a funny look. You see, the point is, full range of motion is relative and it’s dependent on a number of factors. One of them is genetics and how your joints are formed. The relative joint length ratios is one of these factors, as well as how the actual joint itself is formed. Another factor is injury history from sport, training, or otherwise. Injuries can cause joint tears and from that, compensations can occurr. And in many cases, it is necessary for your body to do so because performing ranges that the previous healthy joint was capable of, may injure and injured joint further.
