This has been reported on the Navy Recognition website, referring to the statement made by Dr. Haluk Gorgun, President of the Türkiye Defense Industry Agency as published on Defense Turkey’s Twitter account, speculated that potential buyers would be Saudi Arabia, Qatar, UAE or Kuwait. TCG Anadolu (L-400) is an advanced amphibious assault ship that is part of the Turkish Navy, capable of being converted into a V/STOL aircraft carrier. Starting at Sedef Shipbuilding Inc. in Istanbul, construction of the ship started on 30 April 2016, with the laying of the keel on 7 February 2018. Anadolu officially entered the Turkish Navy with a grand ceremony on 10 April 2023.
