Full title reads: “Paris. France’s Military Tournament. Pick of French Mounted Troops give display before President of the Republic - the Spahis from the Desert were ’the Star Turn’.“ Paris, France. C/U sign which reads ’Tribune du Jury“ High angle shot of mounted troops riding in arena as a fanfare is played. Closer shot of mounted troops. A rider in a French uniform leads men in Arabian clothing. Pan across the Spahis troops, they are saluting with their swords. High angle shots of Spahis troops on their horses. Shots of people watching from a box - probably including the President of the Republic. The riders wheel round in a circle in the arena. Some eastern sounding music is playing. They ride up and down the arena, some of them appear to be standing on their horses’ backs. The troops ride down the arena in charge formation, it sounds as if they are firing their guns.
