The Bead Makers (1932)

“Here’s a novel (yet simple) idea - Paper beads for decorations and trimmings - made out of old posters - “ M/S of woman and young girl (possibly mother and daughter) standing beside a table covered with pieces of paper and craft equipment. C/U of the mother’s hands as she picks up some scissors and begins to cut strips of paper from a poster. She cuts out various shapes and lays them on the table. “- and this simple “bead-winder“ makes the beads in a jiffy - “ The paper is placed onto the little contraption, a handle is wound and the bead is formed. The end of the bead is glued. “Beads of all sorts, sizes and colours -“ The beads are set out on the table and are picked up one by one to show the camera. C/U of the younger girl then threading the beads onto a string to make a necklace. She holds out the string of beads to show the camera.
