Alec Empire “On Fire“

Alec Empire “On Fire“ was directed by Philipp Virus, shot in Berlin 2007 for the album release “The Golden Foretaste of Heaven“ on new label Eat Your Heart Out Records. The video features upcoming actress Natalia Avelon and author/photographer/director Miron Zownir (wheelchair). Alec Empire’s band is The Hellish Vortex (Nic Endo, Zan Lyons, David Fisher). The footage was filmed at the launch concert/party at the Maria Club, and the film scenes were shot during the 1st May demonstrations in 2007. The video was not shot for promotion on TV, it was shown in cinemas in Japan and appeared on various film festivals. (note: A lot of the dark details might get lost on YouTube/internet.)
