Moderate intensity shaking shook most of the country on Monday night, at the moment there have been no reports of damage to structures, damage to basic utilities or people. According to the Volcanological and Seismological Observatory of the Costa Rica National University, the movement was recorded with an epicenter 17 kilometers south-southwest of Manuel Antonio, off the coast of the Costa Rican Pacific Ocean, at a depth of 21 kilometers and with a revised magnitude of 5.7 on the moment magnitude scale.
