David Bowie - 1984/Dodo live (new edit / remastered) 1980 Floor Show

This is a completely new edit which I made from outtakes footage, of ’Dodo/1984’. Filmed in October 1973, it was the opening song of the NBC TV special ’The 1980 Floor Show’. There were many reasons I wanted to make a completely new edit of this song. The broadcast version used footage of dancers over the first minute of the song and then went into a series of stills of Bowie. When Bowie has his costume ripped off by his backing singers, the clip is then repeated needlessly in slow motion. For this version, I’ve restored footage Bowie’s opening vocal - though the camera work was terrible so I couldn’t use as much as I would have liked. After Bowie had his outer costume pulled off, he then did a shimmy dance which was never broadcast but is restored here.
