Deeds of Flesh - Darren Cesca Drum Practice - Catacombs of the Monolith

Catacombs was a fun track for me. When approaching the writing process, it appeared to be really built on the opening riff that then comes back around at the conclusion. With that style of composition, I wanted to have the drum parts evolve throughout the riff. On the ending of the track, it really builds throughout, going from blasts beats and fills, to a half-time groove, ending on a furious blast section fitting in splash cymbal accents. The middle of song has some crazy twists and turns as well. Thanks for all the support with this release. It’s awesome to have added another album to the Deeds of Flesh catalog.
