How to make a Tuffet | Squffet | Ottoman | Foot Stool

I have been dying to try this and I finally did it. I love quilting but there are other projects that we can do with our quilting skills that I want to tackle. This is such a great piece of furniture and now that I know how to put it together I can’t wait to try another one. I can see so many pieced options and different patterns for this however piping does make this somewhat difficult (doable). Piping makes it difficult to line up the top edges due to that hump but I think it gives it such an elevated look. If I were doing it again, I think I would take out 1.5 inches of piping from inside the bias binding at the top so that it lies smoother at the top. If you don’t add the piping this will be a breeze. The toughest part was stapling the fabric because of the recoil in the gun. This wood was very hard. Next time I’ll pull out the compressor so it is not such a pain. It’s doable with a good electric gun but I think it would be easier with a pneumatic gun for sure. Please let me know what
