Mil Mi-24 demo flight practice over Tisza River, Szolnok

Yearly there is an airshow in Szolnok over Tisza river from MH86 Helicopter Base for Hungarian National Day, 20th of August. The pilots always do at least two trainings few days before the show. The Mil Mi-24 was retired from Hungarian Air Force at 2013, but they were sent to overhaul last year, so they came back to the fleet at the beggining of 2019. One of the “new“ ferst demonstration flights of the Mi-24 took place in Szolnok practice days. The Mil Mi-24, named HIND, is a large helicopter gunship and attack helicopter and low-capacity troop transport with room for eight passengers. It is produced by Mil Moscow Helicopter Plant and operated since 1972 by the Soviet Air Force, its successors, and more than 30 other nations. Minden évben megrendezésre kerül Szolnokon a Tisza felett az MH86 Szolnok Helikopter Bázis bemutatója, Augusztus 20. alkalmából, melyre több gyakorló napot is tartanak a katonák. Nagy örömünkre idén már újra feltűnt a folyó felett a hosszú évekre kivont Mi Mi-24 harcihelikopter, sőt újra rendszerbe állítása óta az első alkalmak egyike volt ahol bemutatót is repült. A Mi-24, NATO nevén Hind, egy nehéz harci helikopter a Mil helikopter gyártól. Levegő-levegő és levegő-föld csapásmérés mellett 8 deszantos szállítására is alkalmas. 1972-es tesztrepülése óta több mint 30 országban teljesít szolgálatot és a világ számos háborújában helytállt.
