Plowing The Blizzard of 2023 Minnesota

Wednesday night winds pick up and the snow starts dumping from the sky. This has by far been the most challenging week of snow removal I’ve plowed in the last decade. There was a wicked thick ice layer under these large snow drifts making it hard to get traction. You will see the truck sliding around! The old snow piles are frozen under the fresh snow as well, making it hard to push these piles back. Widening up driveways at this point in next to impossible. This severe snowstorm ultimately dropped between 15 and 16 inches of snow. Travel is not advised! This is a family plowing vlog. We are a smaller operation located about an hour north of Minneapolis and St. Paul in the small town of Princeton Minnesota. It was nice to have both trucks out, my dad came with and drove our second truck. Equipment used in this video: 2012 Ram 2500 regular cab long bed truck with an 8.5 Hiniker v plow, 2014 Chevy 2500HD crew cab long box truck with an older 8ft straight blade Hiniker polly plow. We run new Toyo open country tires on both trucks. Our shovels are the original snow plow brand. The snow blowers are single stage Toro 721 powerclear’s and a Toro powermax 28 inch 2 stage. At Bladez LLC we do both Commercial and Residential snow removal. If you have questions leave them in the comment section of the video and ill do my best to respond. Thanks for reading! Enjoy the video!
