Carthage – Filthy Consumption

Label: AVALANCHE RECORDINGS : CARTHAGE was started in the mid ’90s as a simple 4 track cassette project, based in Handsworth, Birmingham, as a project of atmospheres, fractured beats, spoken word, and with a specific view to be performed live, and with visuals. An early release was ‘Heatfell’, for JK Broadrick’s ‘Lo Fibre Companion’. Later releases include the albums ’’ and ‘9115’. ‘Midnight White’ is the new release on Justin K Broadrick’s (Godflesh, Jesu, JK Flesh, etc) Avalanche Recordings label. The writing for ‘Midnight White’ began in early 2020, with some material played live in Manchester, just prior to lockdown. The writing process concluded early 2021, usually in very late night sessions, which in a small way suggested the title of the album. The artist Daniela VK appears on this release and ‘Midnight White’ was completed March 2021, and mastered by JK Broadrick.
