Mr Middleton climbs over the fence and demonstrates the right way of using a garden spade. Mr Middleton looks quite smart. He says he likes the look of the garden he is in: “it looks businesslike“. He talks about the vegetables in the garden and admires the “humble cabbage“. He praises the gardener for his lovely vegetable patch and flowers. He discusses the source of the plants in this garden.
