This episode of Celtic Steps The Talent features Irish Dancer Layla NÍ Eíli. Layla is 23 and hails from Bray in Co. Wicklow. Layla started dancing at the age of 5 in primary school and won her first major, the Leinster’s, at the age of 8 and qualified each year for the World Champions from the age of 11. In the years that followed, Layla honed her dancing skills in her time spent dancing with the organisation, An Comisiun and went on to eventually win the Worlds in Boston in 2013 amongst subsequent other titles including Great Britains, Irish Nationals, American Nationals and many regional titles. Layla retired from competitive dancing at the age of 19 and began touring in December that year doing what she loves best in countries all over the world including Russia, Holland, Germany, Denmark, America, Canada and China.
