It is time for another horror game from Asia and this time it is the Taiwanese game Devotion. This game tells the story of a washed up screenwriter as we delve into his past and his difficult relationship with his famous wife and daughter, who dreams of becoming a star like her mother. The game looks beautiful and oozes atmosphere. It has some surprising twists and turns with even some complete change in gameplay mechanics like the children’s picture book. The story in and of itself is also really touching and sad with a beautiful bittersweet climax at the end. But most importantly the few jumpscares that it has are incredibly effective and this game made me jump out of my seat on multiple occasions. #horror #game #nocommentary
