There are no major changes in the Shanghai plant this week from last week, Phase II is still being renovated and upgraded. The central area and the exterior structure of the R&D center appear to be nearing completion, the north side of the building is still underway, and the second phase of the supplemental work has had more than its fair share of roof coverage. I didn’t photograph the stray land to the south this week, as Tesla has abandoned that site for now and new model manufacturing will take place in the existing facility, and that’s the overview for this week. Moving on to the International Auto Show in Shanghai, on the opening day of the show, a female Tesla owner defended her rights at the Tesla exhibit because of a brake failure that has not been resolved, and the female owner was later placed in administrative detention for 5 days.
