FLCL is Not (Just) a Coming of Age Story

*THIS VIDEO WAS MADE FOR PAUSE AND SELECT’S NOVID CHALLENGE* FLCL is undeniably a unique piece of media that crosses cultural boundaries and is very open to individual interpretation. However I feel that the analysis on YouTube tends to ignore it’s Japanese roots, and tends to boil it down to nothing but a Coming of Age story. While FLCL is definitely a coming of age story, there are so many ways to tackle it, so here is my attempt at doing so. Well my second attempt, but you’ll never see that terrible first video I did of it back in 2013. FLCL is fully cool.
