Beginner Rope Dart/Meteor Hammer Flow + Target Practice

I’m a beginner to rope dart/meteor hammer. This video serves to document my progress after about 3 weeks of practice. My version of the meteor hammer is a tennis ball fixed to the end of a 3.5 m cotton rope. Rope dart and meteor hammer are two ancient weapons of traditional Chinese martial arts and being flexible weapons, they are some of the hardest weapons to control. In rope dart, the emphasis lies on accelerating the metal dart in a straight line in order to pierce the enemy. In meteor hammer, the smashing motion of the heavy hammer head moving on curved trajectories around the wielder is emphasized. I try to incorporate both styles into my flow.
