Soldiers wounded in mine clearance operation in southwest China

Scores of Chinese soldiers have been injured in mine clearance operations in southwest China’s Yunnan Province, with the latest one named Du Fuguo having lost his eyes and hands in an accidental blast. Du, a 27-year-old ground force soldier of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army, was injured recently in a mine sweeping operation in an area in Yunnan, near China’s border with Vietnam.
