Rode NTG-3 vs. Sony C-74 // Microphone Test and Comparison

. This is a casual test of the Sony C-74 boom/shotgun microphone and the Rode NTG-3 boom/shotgun microphone. Please note that the Sony C-74 microphone has an unknown age and has been in use by me and others for several years. The Rode NTG-3 was brand new at the time this video was filmed. The C-74’s low-cut switch was set to “M.“ Both microphones are being recorded directly into a Panasonic HPX-170 camcorder. The video was edited with Final Cut Pro and exported in format.
