According to the actress, her father (Mohammed Kaif) is a British businessman from Kashmir, and her mother (Suzanne Turcott) is an English lawyer and philanthropist. The actress has three older sisters (Stephanie, Kristina and Natasha), three younger sisters (Melissa, Sonya and Isabel) and an older brother (Michael). Isabelle Kaif is also a model and actress. Katrina’s parents divorced when she was a child, and her father moved to the United States. She said that her father had no influence on her and her sisters when they were growing up, and they were raised by their mother. Regarding the absence of her father in her life, Kaif stated: “when I see friends who have wonderful fathers who serve as pillars of support for their families, I say, if only I had one. But instead of complaining, I should be grateful for all the other things I have.“ Katrina says that her mother decided to “devote her life to social work,“ which led to the family staying in a number of countries for various times: During my growing up, we constantly moved: from Hong Kong, where I was born, to China, then to Japan, and from Japan by ship to France... after France, Switzerland, and I don’t count many Eastern European countries where we were only a few months, then Krakow in Poland... after that we We went to Belgium, then to Hawaii, where we stayed for a short time, and then moved to London. Due to their frequent moves, Katrina and her siblings were homeschooled. Although many think she grew up in London, she only lived there for three years before moving to India
