Firing up Schumacher’s ’93 Benetton F1 car in the back garden - Car Cave

Firing up Schumacher’s ’93 Benetton F1 car in the back garden. Our latest Car Cave owner, Steve, chooses to not have a vast vehicle collection. In fact it isn’t a collection at all, it’s a pair of sheds that he built himself (because he’s a builder by trade) to house a pair of fully functioning F1 Benetton Ford B193s, along with a classic Fiat 500 and a trio of 1970s Japanese motorbikes.  The truth is, Steve (who is a builder by trade) didn’t want the 1993 Benettons (which used to be Michael Schumacher’s) as ornaments, and given most historic F1 cars do not run - many don’t even have engines - that’s quite a feat in itself. Steve wanted to drive his race cars and share the experience with others. Gawd bless you, Steve. Thanks for stopping by The Late Brake Show.
