*PALAIS de CRISTAL* 1851 - LONDON [histoire cachée]

The Great Exhibition of the Works of Industry of All Nations - 1851 - Londres M. Joseph Paxton, chef jardinier (HAHA) propose de réaliser un immense édifice de fonte et de verre, baptisé Crystal Palace réalisé par l’architecte Owen Jones. Reconstruit à Sydenham Hill, vers 1860. Délaissé, puis utilisé comme centre d’entraînement pendant la première guerre mondiale puis comme musée militaire. Il fut définitivement détruit dans un incendie le 30 novembre 1936.
