“It’s Just A House Without You“ Brook Benton 1961

This wasn’t one of Brook Benton’s biggest I think it should have been. I found this old Mercury 45rpm record second-hand at either a yardsale or thrift store, I think, around 1993. But it’s my FAVORITE Brook Benton record. He sings one of those bittersweet songs about a man and his wife breaking up and going their own ways. But OH THE LONLINESS that abounds in THIS man’s heart! (And Brook Benton surly could sing those “heartbreaking“ songs!) Strange, I felt that perhaps God laid it on my heart to do this video for anybody who might be going through an “estrangement“ at this time. It is certainly a song that will sympathise with you if you are feeling down in a situation like this. (And Brook Benton will help get you through it!) Benjamen Franklin Peary was born in Lugoff, South Carolina on September 19th, 1931 and passed away on April 9th, 1988 in Queens, New York, at age 56. I believe he’s buried in and around Lugoff, his hometown. Ben
