The Berlin-based outfit GOLDEN APES has been known as a shimmering gem in the independent wave- and post punk-scene. Powerful picture language and surrealistic items are basic parts of GOLDEN APES’ artistic appearance, musically lead by charismatic lead singer Peer Lebrecht’s poetic and dark-melancholic lyrics, sustained by catchy but complex arrangements including beautiful melodies and astonishing twists.
