The excerpt is from the World Saxophone Quartet Live Concert DVD (2009). Pesonally I just love it for something primal and sincere, that Carter opens up a little, besides the artistic show and entertainment itself. And although I don’t like Carter’s style that much I highly respect him for that kind of all-in attitude. I want to believe and tend to believe that this is the time he plays himself out.
