2 GIRLS, 1 COP - Midwest First Amendment audit

KULT News was vexed in Bexley, OH on Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2023. We conducted a very simple First Amendment audit comprised of simply standing on the public sidewalk outside of banking institutions and aiming a camera at them. We wanted to see if they understood and respected our right to photograph anything we can see when we are in public.* Although many of these financial institutions have multiple cameras on the outside of their buildings aimed at the public, they often seem to have a problem when the public aims their cameras back at them. Most of these financial institutions received some of the hundreds of billions of dollars in the 2008-2009 bailout. We have every right to take pictures of their precious buildings from public streets and sidewalks. Heck, we practically paid for them.😡 NOTE: I sent an email to Officer Eyears. You can read it only on our Instagram account: -mike If you want to skip the previews (aka spoiler alerts) then skip to the :33 second mark in the video. Often using police body camera footage, 911 call recordings, and covert camera angles, and a few laughs thrown in, KULT News is a First Amendment audit channel you won’t soon forget. Enjoy the deer-in-the-headlights looks as incompetent cops see a mild-mannered citizen just out taking photos turn into a news reporter well versed on his Constitutional rights right before their eyes. *This is not legal advice. Laws may vary but, generally speaking, in the United States, if you are in public you are legally able to photograph whatever you can see. Your eyes can’t be trespassed. Obviously there are some restrictions to this (i.e., bathrooms, dressing rooms, most courtrooms, locker rooms, etc.) but with very few restrictions, when you are in public, if you can see it, you can shoot it (this rule only applies to cameras.) Check your local laws before photographing or video recording anyone else in public without their explicit permission unless you are certain it is legal in your area to do so. ———————— CONTACT INFO FOR SOME OF THE PEOPLE SEEN ON AUDIT 🇺🇸 Tell ‘em KULT News sent ya!🇺🇸 ———————— Officer Eyears Bexley Police Department 559 N Cassingham Rd Bexley, OH 43209 (614) 559-4444 Non-Emergency Line THIS GOES TO DISPATCH 🚨 Leyears@ 👆 👆 👆 Jim Marchese (aka “Mr. Rubino”) Rubino’s Pizza 2543 E.
