Die englische Rock’n’Roll-Band “The Wild Angels“ wurde im Sommer 1967 gegründet und erhielt ihren Namen nach dem Roger-Corman-Film “The Wild Angels“ von 1966 mit Peter Fonda in der Hauptrolle. Die Band besteht derzeit aus Keith Read (Gitarre, Gesang), Paul Black (Gitarre, Gesang), Mitch Mitchell (Bassgitarre, Gesang), Freddie “Babyface“ Pirotta (Klavier) und “Wild“ Bob Burgos (Schlagzeug, Gesang). Die ursprünglichen Bandmitglieder waren Mal Gray, John Hawkins, John Huggett, Mitch Mitchell, Bill Kingston und Bob O’Connor. Nachdem sie ihre ersten Songs “Nervous Breakdown“ und “Watch the Wheels Go Round“ veröffentlicht hatten, unterschrieb die Band 1969 bei B&C Records.
