London, the capital of the UK, has been an important financial, educational and cultural center for centuries. This world city is filled with iconic symbols. Tower Bridge is a striking reminder of London’s rapid expansion during the industrial revolution. To the west of this is the country’s seat of power, the Palace of Westminster. Opposite it stands Westminster Abbey. Perhaps the most famous of all London’s churches is St. Paul’s Cathedral. Hyde Park and Green Park provide hectares of greenery in London’s center. Culture and entertainment is everywhere in London; from the Royal Albert Hall to the British Museum to the West End. One of the best ways to see London as a whole is from the London Eye. Trendy Notting Hill and Camden Town are two favorite districts not far from central London.
