How to Design Mechanical Keyboard Plates and Cases

I wanted to share with you some of the concepts and tools I use to design keyboards for 3D printing. Not only will these boards work with 3D printers, but the concepts can also be applied to CNC or Laser cutting since the dimensions are all the same regardless of the fabrication method. There is a great guide over at that explains these dimensions even further: I very much recommend taking a look at that article after this video. It will hopefully make some of the more challenging concepts more clear. ~ Tools ~ Layout Tool: Plate Tool: ~ Links ~ My Keyboards: Cases, Keyboards, and Keycaps: ~ Parts ~ - 2u Plate Mount Stabilizer - - 8mm M2 Spacer - - M2x6mm Screw - ~ Timestamps ~ 0:00 - Intro 0:
