Chancellor Rachel Reeves refuses to rule out raising inheritance and capital gains tax
Chancellor Rachel Reeves has refused to rule out rises to inheritance and capital gains tax after being asked three times.
During their election campaign, Labour said they would not increase income tax, national insurance and VAT but avoided answering whether other taxes would rise.
Ms Reeves said: “I’m not going to write a budget two months ahead of delivering it.“
