UK: Border Force rescue dozens of migrants amid surge in English Channel crossing

Subscribe to our channel! Over 60 migrants were seen brought to shore in Dover by the UK Border Force boat on Thursday, amid a recent surge of asylum seekers trying to cross the English Channel. The group of migrants, among which were woman and children, was reportedly travelling on inflatable boats from the French cities of Calais and Dunkirk. After landing in Dover, they could be seen being taken to a makeshift processing centre in a port car park for interviewing. About 1,000 migrants have been intercepted in the past week trying to cross the channel to England, around 400 of which in the past two days alone. More than 4,000 people have crossed the English Channel to the UK this year so far, more than doubling the numbers of arrivals when compared to the same time in 2020. #UK #EnglishChannel #EnglishChannelCrossing #migrants #Dover Video ID: 20210604-038 Video on Demand: Contact: cd@ Twitter:
