One part of this big beach is fully organized but you need to pay a ticket to access it. It offers all kinds of facilities, including sunbeds to rent, snacks bars, restaurants, a car parking area, a playground for children and a football court. The other part is not organized but there is a nice tavern there. The beach can easily be reached by public bus, starting at the city center, or by car. The town of Varkiza is one of the most popular areas in the southern suburbs, quite lively during the summer season.
