In the US, student protests continue at the country’s leading universities. Students are protesting against Israel’s military action in the Gaza Strip. In New York, police had to storm Columbia University where protesters had barricaded themselves. The police had to tear gas their way through the first floor. The president of the university called the demonstrators “vandals“ and asked the police to remain on duty outside the institution until May 17. More than 100 arrests were reported. Source: Lord Of War
