Today’s project is a fun one! Not only because these DIY wood cake stands are gorgeous and I can always find a reason for another cake stand. But because this is the first time I have partnered with Inventables to share a project using the X-Carve! Thanks to Inventables for sponsoring this video.
These DIY cake stands are a simple project for beginners on a CNC machine. A series of stacked circles make a stunning base to show off your favorite cakes.
Supplies (affiliate links):
- X-Carve
- 1/8″ two flute straight bit
- 1/8″ single flute upcut bit
- 1/4″ thick 40% light transmission white acrylic
- 6”x12” Purple Heart
- 6”x12” Tiger Maple
- Maker Brand Co. Simple Finish
You can use the file I made for the cake stands by first, signing up for a free Easel account here: http://bit.l
