Antifascist song about International Brigades in Spain [Swe w/ Spanish+English subs]

Internationella brigadens sång (Song of the International brigade) celebrates the Swedes and other people who joined the International Brigades in Spain during their civil war to fight Franco’s fascists. It’s a Swedish version of Lied der internationalen Brigaden, famously sung by the German singer Ernst Busch. It was recorded by Vietnam war activists in De Förenade FNLgrupperna (The United FNL groups) and released on their album Vietnam är nära in 1972. Around 600 Swedes joined the International Brigades - some of the Swedish soldiers can be seen in the picture attached to the video. 164 of them never made it back from the fighting. I will continue to translate and upload the best Swedish socialist and communist music from the 1960s and 1970s, including anti-capitalist songs and songs about Vietnam - subscribe to not miss any in the future! 00:00 Verse 1 00:25 Chorus 1 00:50 Verse 2 01:15 Chorus 2 #spanishcivilwar #spain #internationalbrigades
