The Prince of Karate - Kancho Joko Ninomiya’s way becoming a international champion

Kancho Joko Ninomiya, the founder of Enshin Karate and the World Sabaki Challenge, fought in the First World Open Full Contact Tournament in 1975 where he placed 3rd with just 21 years. In 1976 he placed 2nd in the Kyokushin All Japan Tournament and in 1978 he became the All Japan Champion in Kyokushin karate’s open tournament. In each tournament there were over 120 fighters from Japan and other countries all in one open category. No gloves, no pads, full contact! Kancho Joko Ninomiya became a legend through these tournaments and still is.
