Palm Sunday Weaving - the fish

Today’s palm weaving is a fish! The fish is a traditional symbol of Jesus, because the primary language of the early Church was Greek, and the Greek phrase “Jesus Christ, Son of God, Savior” produces the acronym ICHTHYS, the Greek word for fish! Early Christians would use the fish symbol as a way to recognize churches and other Christians during times of persecution. . Palm weaving doesn’t have to be complicated! This simple fish only takes a few quick weaves (and a pair of scissors!) to take shape!
