Xavier Montsalvatge (1912-2002) dedicated his Concerto breve to Alicia de Larrocha, who gave the world premier in 1953 with Louis de Froment and the Barcelona Orchestra. It is a must to mention that on the same program she played three concertos to celebrate her 25 years of performing, she was 31 years old.
