Bio by She Rox, All Female Bands, Sleater-Kinney who began in 1994, in Olympia,Washington were a front runner in the Riot Girl movement that swept the music scene during the 1990’ guitarists and vocalists, Corin Tucker and Carrie Brownstein and drummer Janet Weiss they have been called one of the most influential bands of the last 20 years with their feminist inspired punk/indie rock that uniquely captured fans even without an actual bassist in the band, Corin plays lower chords on the guitar which gives a unique sound that emulates a sound similar to a bass guitar. Sleater-Kinney has 8 studio albums under their belts and continue current day to be an inspiration for female musicians around the world.
