Electric vehicles ‘very rarely live up to their range claims’

Senior Motoring Journalist Paul Gover says electric vehicles “very rarely” live up to their range claims. Mr Gover’s remarks come as recent tests show some electric vehicles aren’t driving as far as claimed on full charge. “There are lots of tests of combustion engines which will tell you they don’t get the great fuel economy as sometimes advertised,” he told Sky News host Andrew Bolt. “But the thing with a combustion car is you can pull into a service station. “When you’re driving an electric car, it’s always in the back of your mind – where is the nearest life raft?”
