Away From It All (1962)

London. High angle L/S of traffic in a London street, tilt up to show modern skyscrapers; commentator talks of “getting away from it all“. High angle shot of a barge moving along the Regent’s Canal; pan left to show a road with traffic passing. At Hyde Park Corner we see several shots of excavation / building work, presumably to renovate the roundabout there. Top shot of cars moving along a flyover at Hyde Park Corner. In Hyde Park we see four people on horseback; they come out of the park and onto the main road, then walk slowly past a small bistro / restaurant where people are sitting at tables outside; a waiter serves diners their food as commentator tells us this restaurant is “not a hundred yards from Paddington Station“. In Bushey Park we see a man in glasses standing by a lake, feeding deer; he holds his hands behind his back and they nuzzle them to get the food - aah!
