Can an automotive starter motor be used as an electric bike motor? Let’s find out! A while back, I made an electric drift trike using a giant starter motor from a caterpillar machine. To my surprise, it worked quite well and since that project I have wondered if a smaller automotive starter motor could work for EV applications.
