Palm Sunday weaving tutorial- Large cross!

This large cross design is a really beautiful way to display your palms in your home! For this design, we used about 13 palms (which are two leaves in one connected by the green rib). We made about 20 of the little double-sided triangle shape using palm leaves that had been separated and the green rib removed. Save the ribs to insert later for extra stability! You can make about two double-sided triangle shapes with each set of two palm leaves (maybe one extra if you have really long palms). The center piece is also made with two palm leaves with the rib removed. Then, we used two complete palm leaves (two leaves still connected by the green rib) and inserted the saved ribs to make them very rigid. The number of double-sided triangle shapes you use may depend on the size of your cross and the size of your shapes, whatever looks best! This palm design is one that would be traditionally woven before Palm Sunday and then brought to Church to be blessed.
