Year of the Cobra - Doomed & Stoned Showcase

DOOOOOM! One of the brightest exports from the Emerald City is taking the underground by storm. Husband-wife drum and bass duo Amy Tung Barrysmith (bass) and Jon Barrysmith (drums) were the headliners at the Doomed & Stoned Winter Showcase. I filmed this from the rafters of the Ash St. Saloon, home to so many wonderful doom-stoner shows over the years (closing at the end of the year). The event took place January 20th, 2017, amidst inauguration protests justs one block away. Despite the chaos, we had a wonderful attendance and YOTC even engendered a mosh pit! I’ve loved these guys since we discovered them in early 2015 and spread the word via social media. Soon thereafter, they got a record deal with STB Records and their debut full-length was engineered by Billy the EnginEAR Anderson (producer of Sleep’s Dopesmoker).
