Slade ~ Wheels Ain’t Coming Down ~ Slade In England

This clip is re-uploaded after being cleaned up as best as is possible, ie de-saturated and re-dubbed. This was a one off TV special that was broadcast on Belgian TV in 1980, believed around the time the band played at the St Gerard Festival in Namur. I believe the show was called ’Generation 80’ but I do need some proper info to state that as being gospel, but that is more than likely the event and was filmed as a ’special’ No details of broadcast are available or who else appeared, the band were interviewed in addition to miming the two tracks mentioned, but unfortunately no footage of this has ever surfaced. The stage and set was all inside a large seaside marquee and saw the band mime their way through both ’Wheels’ and their Belgian release ’I’m A Rocker’. This information is from my dear old mate Ran who spent a happy afternoon prior to the shows recording meeting the band as they arrived at the marquee in the afternoon for press interviews etc. Unfortunately, despite this old VHS footage bouncing around now since the early 80’s there has to date never been a better quality copy that has surfaced. I cannot of course press Randall as to location, dates out there must know...... Somewhere in that big tent is Randall grinning from ear to ear as he watched ’his’ band do their thing.
