How to Create Iridescent Texture in 1 MINUTE (FOR SURE!) - Beginner Part 2 UPDATE: If you’re using Octane 4, you can try setting the Film IOR in Film Layer to 1, and go to Texture - Cinema 4D - Falloffmap. With the Falloffmap plugged into Film Width, you can change the values accordingly and get the result you want :) *NOTE: Film Index controls the Index of Refraction (IOR) of the thin film, and you can use it to adjust the colors visible in the film. Film Width controls the thickness of an optical thin film on the material, it’s useful in creating iridescent materials. A few examples of iridecent textures I created before: 1.
