Thanks For Watching Our Video; Russia And India JUST ANNOUNCED A NEW MEGA Shipping Route That Is Set To DISRUPT The Entire Industry India and Russia have always wanted to increase the use of the Northern Sea shipping route through the Arctic Ocean. They plan to build processing facilities and improve the transportation of goods through the route. And Russia’s minister for development of the Far East and Arctic, Alexei Chekunkov, said he wants to make sure that goods can be transported safely and efficiently using ports from both countries. Chekunkov mentioned that it’s 33% cheaper to transport a container from Vladivostok to India than from Moscow. And so, Russia aims to turn the Northern Sea Route into a significant shipping pathway that connects East Asia and Europe through its northern coastline. In addition, Russia has made substantial investments in the region’s infrastructure to achieve this goal. The Northern Sea route can’t be used during winter because of the thick ice. However, Moscow plans to change that by enabling year-round shipping, encouraged by the Arctic’s warming. India has recently become the top purchaser of Russian oil, taking over China. In fact, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak revealed that Russian oil supplies to India surged 22 times higher last year. Novak suggested that Russia should prioritize increasing its energy exports to countries that it considers friendly. He pointed out that in 2022, energy revenues contributed 42% of the country’s federal budget. He also stated that Russia’s energy sector remains resilient, despite the obstacles posed by sanctions from Western nations. In addition, a new shipping route was launched in February 2023 between Novorossiysk in Russia and Mumbai in India. The Far Eastern Shipping Company, or FESCO from Russia, started a new shipping route that goes directly from Novorossiysk on the Black Sea coast of Russia to Mumbai on the West coast of India. FESCO called it the “FESCO Indian Line,“ It travels from Novorossiysk to Ambarli in Turkey, then to Nhava Sheva and Mundra in India. The main cargo that this route carries is food products, cellulose, polymer materials, and others. They also accept dangerous goods for shipping. Nhava Sheva and Mundra are part of the larger Mumbai port complex. Novorossiysk sits on the coast of the Black Sea in Russia and is the biggest regional port of the Black Sea. It’s part of the Moscow Stock Exchange and handles sea trade between Russia and areas like Asia, the Middle East, Africa, the Mediterranean, and South America. Novorossiysk is the busiest oil port on the Black Sea, and it’s where the pipeline from the Tengiz Field ends, a project developed by the Caspian Pipeline Consortium. The city depends on its industrial sector, which includes steel, food processing, metal goods, and other manufacturing. The area also has plenty of limestone quarries that provide essential materials for cement factories in and around the city. A new service with two departures per week became available, connecting Novorossiysk to Mumbai, which takes around 25 days. This is the third deep-sea container service by FESCO and the second with India. Group customers can also use Russia’s Vladivostok port on the eastern Pacific seaboard to ship to and from Mumbai’s Nhava Sheva Port. FESCO is a significant company in Russia that operates ports, rail, and logistics businesses. They move more than 130,000 containers and have over 10,000 well cars. The group’s 23 ships primarily sail on their own marine lines. The company has introduced a new route because Russian-Indian trade is growing. The trade is moving beyond energy and expanding to agriculture and consumer goods markets. Furthermore, Iran created new routes for shipping in 2022 that connect Russia and India.
