Antoinette - Hear My Heart

This video was produced in support of the release of Jeff Phelps’ “Magnetic Eyes“ LP in 1985. The song is called “Hear My Heart“ with vocals by Antoinette Marie Pugh, a Houston teenager at the time. Jeff wrote, performed and recorded all the music for the LP. It’s not clear that many of today’s singers could sound this good considering that it was done in a spare bedroom with a Radio Shack microphone, a Tascam 4-track cassette recorder, cheap headphones and speakers, and absolutely no effects whatsoever. Antoinette’s voice was truly amazing and one of a kind.
