The text being sung is taken from what we call the DNa inscription (Darius Naqsh-e Rustam Inscription). It is the inscription found on his tomb in the royal Naksh-e Rostam necropolis. Keep in mind that this isn’t actual Ancient Iranian music or anything even remotely resembling it—the music of Ancient Iran is completely lost to us, and this is a modern symphonic piece using modern Iranian instruments as well as a Western string ensemble. While a good representation of modern Iranian music, it is by no means meant to be taken for the music of the time of the Achaemenids.
